Different from traditional PNS naphthalene-based water reducers and other ordinary admixtures, this powder PCE has lots of outstanding practical benefits for concrete construction:
◆First, it needs very low mixing dosage but brings a high water-reducing rate, helping users save raw material cost easily.
◆Second, it provides reliable slump retention, effectively stopping concrete from quick slump loss during construction.
◆Third, it mixes well with most types of cement and mineral additives such as fly ash or slag powder.
◆Fourth, finished concrete has low shrinkage, keeping stable volume and longer service life.
◆Last but not least, it is eco-friendly both during production and on-site using, no harmful substances.
The recommend dosage of superplasticizer for concrete: 0.1-0.25% base on cement quantity. Solid content of PCE powder is 98%.
Normal dosage is 0.12%-0.3%.
◆ At 0.06% dosage: It brings 12% water reduction and 23% higher
concrete strength, outperforming regular commercial pumping agents.
◆ At 0.1% dosage: Its performance beats common PNS naphthalene and
melamine-based water reducers. However, the advantages won’t be clear if
you add less than 0.14%.
◆ Above 0.20% dosage: Concrete gets great flowability and excellent pumping property.
Therefore, the optimal recommended addition rate is 0.12%~0.24%.
For high-grade concrete, concrete with a large amount of fly ash / ultra-fine slag powder, or other special construction needs, the dosage can go up to 0.3%~0.5%.
Lab tests prove: Even at a 0.5% dosage, no sticky lump or concrete bleeding occurs, and the water-reducing effect continues to improve. The only side effects are higher air content, slower setting time, and slightly lower concrete strength.
