Water reducing agent is a concrete admixture that can reduce the amount of water used in concrete mixing while maintaining the slump of concrete. Most of them are anionic surfactants, such as Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer , Sodium Naphthalene Sulfonate Formaldehyde, Lignosulfonate etc. After adding water reducing admixtures to concrete, cement particles can be dispersed, thereby improving its workability, reducing unit water consumption, improving the fluidity of concrete mixtures, or reducing unit cement consumption, saving cement, and achieving the purpose of reducing cement costs for investors.

Water reducing agent can be divided into liquid type and powder type or flake type according to their appearance. The solid content of liquid agents is generally 20% and 50% (also known as mother liquor). According to the water-reducing and reinforcing ability of water reducers, they can be divided into standard type, pumpable type, slump-preserving type, related type and antifreeze type etc.
